Proximal50 Livestreaming Classes

How it works.

  1. Either a Proximal50 monthly membership or Proximal50 Group Fitness punch card (see pricing) is required to join livestreaming classes.
  2. Livestreaming classes are a virtual option for our in-person classes and happen in real-time. They are not saved or archived for late reviewing.
    1. Check out our Proximal50 @Home Facebook group for live classes that are saved & archived and can be watched at anytime. Classes in Proximal50 @Home are free for anyone to join 🙂
  3. We d0 have some equipment available for sale – please contact us at info@proximal50.com for details & pricing.

What you need to know & tips for a great experience!

  1. Sign-up for class through the Proximal50 Life Center app.
    1. Don’t have a smartphone, not an app user? You can sign-up from a computer by using this link: Proximal50 MindBody site  (Bookmark this link in your browser for easy access!)
    2. You’ll need to create an account if you don’t already have one. Use the email you have on file with Proximal50.
    3. You must sign-up ahead of time. Once class starts, there’s no way to get the link.
    4. You will get the link via email 30 minutes prior to the start of class.
      1. If you sign-up less than 30 minutes before class starts, you’ll get the link within a few minutes.
      2. If you sign-up after the class start time, you will not get the link!
    5. Note: If there are not at least 3 people total (in-person & livestream) signed up 60 minutes prior to the start of class, class will be canceled. If there are no livestream participants signed up 30 minutes before the start of class, the instructor will not launch the livestream link.
  2. Decide how you are going to watch the class. You’ll receive the link via email. We recommend either an iPad or computer because of the larger screen/viewing area.
    1. We’ve learned the quality of your speakers makes a difference! If you have a small portable speaker – connect that through your headphone jack (or consider bluetooth headphones if using an iPad)
    2. If you have a laptop, you may be able to setup dual screens & screen sharing with your TV as the second monitor 😉
  3. Read through this great article from MindBody on getting setup for livestream: MBO Livestreaming Guide
  4. “Arrive” for class a little early so you can get all set up. Your instructor will try their best launch the class at least 10 minutes before start time.
  5. What you should  know:
    1. Confirm your microphone is muted so there’s no competing sound and you can hear the instructor and music.
      1. If you do not mute your microphone – everyone will hear you and what’s happening at your house 😉
    2. It’s up to you if you want your camera on or off. If it’s on – others can see you

If you have issues with livestreaming – please email us at info@proximal50.com. DO NOT call the front desk – they won’t be able to help 😉
