“I’ll start January 1st.”

“I’ll start Monday.” How many times have you said that? You’re ready to get started on something new but for some reason just can’t commit to starting today. Well this time of year it’s REALLY tempting to say “I’ll start in January.” We all like the feeling of a fresh start that the new year brings but there’s two big reason you shouldn’t wait until January:

  1. Not only should you be able to “be healthy” while enjoying your favorite things… you should be able to do it during the holidays! No, it shouldn’t have to be a big, time consuming task, or anything that takes you away from enjoying the season. But the real test for a health program is if you can handle it when life is NUTS like it is throughout December for most people.
  2. Also, when January 1st rolls around…. Everyone is starting something. It’s nice to feel the sense of newness, the anything-is-possible feeling. We get that. But when you join places that are having a “great deal” on their supplements or memberships – you are just a number to them. (This might not be the case for EVERY single company that offers some sort of deal, but we are talking in generalized terms here.) They want transactions, more and more people. They don’t necessarily care WHO “those” people are. And that doesn’t help you in the long run. Unfortunately the health industry isn’t regulated, which means you don’t know what you are getting. (We hope you feel like you know what you are getting with us though! We LOVE education.) Please be careful of the fancy words, pictures and promises!

Again, there are exceptions to this but starting before the new year, or when you know it’s something you WANT and CAN commit to – do it then. You will be much more likely to have a good, individualized experience.
